A NEW NETFLIX PROJECT, A TIME CAPSULE IN BRISTOL, THE FUTURE OF THE WEST MIDLANDS, AND LUKE JOINS THE BIGTOOTH TEAM!
NETFLIX SERIES
It has been another exciting month in the studio, as the team began working on Season 6 of a very popular Netflix series. The Bigtooth Studios crew have been working their Techvis, Previs and Postvis magic for the show. We can't tell you what it is or what it involves but it is looking great and we cannot wait for it's release.
A TRIP BACK IN TIME
On our recent trip to Bristol we arranged a visit to the longest running video rental shop in the world (and one of the last in the country), the renowned '20th Century Flicks'. This small shop is an institution to the movie buffs of Bristol and has been since it's opening in 1982.
We were welcomed by Dave (one of the owners) who gave us a tour of this retro paradise, which is not only a rental store but also hosts two small cinemas. The cinema rooms are available to hire for any occasion. We were blown away by the time capsule that is 20th Century Flicks and we are super excited to return later in the year for a screening with the whole Bigtooth team!

CREATE CENTRAL EVENT AT THE LIGHTHOUSE
Last month we were happy to present our Blender add-on FaceHugger, in action at the West Midlands Plan For Growth event at The Lighthouse Cinema in Wolverhampton. Many local businesses were in attendance to showcase their specific areas of development and models for growth, including The University of Warwick, who were there to promote their new Esports Centre.
Speakers were present to discuss the plans to develop the economic growth and recovery plan for the West Midlands in order to create 45,000 West Midlands jobs and reclaim the pre-pandemic title of fastest growing English region outside London.
LUKE JOINS THE CREW
Luke Stretton has been an active member in Bigtooth's Discord community for some months and over this time, he has been sharing his work and showcasing his skills in our 'project-share-and-feedback' channel. We were really impressed with Luke's university and personal projects, so much so, that we invited him into the studio for a trial. We are delighted to say that Luke is now part of the Bigtooth team, as a Junior 3D Generalist and he is a brilliant addition to our energetic in-house team.
Luke has recently graduated Film Technology and Visual Effects at Birmingham City University, we are so impressed by his work and passion and we are excited to see his development at Bigtooth Studios.
